Tai Chi Chuan

Water is the softest
and most yielding substance.
Nothing is better than water
for overcoming the hard and rigid,
because nothing can compete with it.

Everyone knows that the soft and yielding
overcomes the rigid and hard,
but few can put this knowledge into practice.

Tao Te Ching (78)

Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese internal martial art with health enhancing qualities. It  has been refined over many centuries by dedicated Tai Chi Chuan Masters, strictly adhering to the Toaist philosophy of Yin and Yang; opposing forces complementing each other to achieve harmony, the practice of Chi Kung to generate and circulate internal energy or "chi", spiritual awareness and a desire for self-improvement. The result being a sophisticated fighting art, robust good health, a tranquil mind and longevity.
